Online therapist, anywhere in Alberta.
Encrypted video or phone sessions with Calgary Registered Psychologists — from Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, or anywhere else in the province. Same sessions, same therapists, same training. Direct-bill most extended health plans.
All of the work, none of the commute.
Same Calgary therapists, same training, same hour — available across Alberta. Many clients find it easier to be honest from their own couch than from a clinical office. The room you’re already in often holds more of what you want to talk about.
We use encrypted communication platforms designed for confidential clinical work. No special software is required — your therapist will share access details before your first session. If video isn’t your preference, phone is offered as an alternative.
- You need to be in Alberta — that’s where the College considers the session to take place.
- Especially good for parents, shift workers, and clients in rural or remote Alberta.
- If a connection issue comes up mid-session, your therapist will work with you in the moment to find a way to finish the conversation.
- Sometimes in-person is better — acute crisis, severe trauma processing, and family work with very young children. We’ll talk about that in your consult.
Online therapy, asked and answered.
Is online therapy actually as effective as in-person?
For most clients and many concerns, the research suggests broadly comparable outcomes — meta-analyses of guided online cognitive-behavioural therapy find effect sizes essentially equivalent to face-to-face delivery (Andersson et al., 2014). The exceptions tend to be acute crisis, severe trauma processing, and family sessions with very young children — we’ll flag those at the consult.
What if my Wi-Fi drops?
It happens. Your therapist will work with you in the moment to finish the session — often that means a quick switch to phone.
Do I need to be in Alberta?
Yes — our therapists are licensed in Alberta, which is where the regulatory body considers the session to take place.
